DHS announced that law enforcement has made more than 4,000 arrests of people described as "illegal aliens" in Minnesota since Operation Metro Surge began.
The agency says the arrests include people it describes as murderers, pedophiles, rapists, gang members, and terrorists, and cites recent arrests for sexual conduct with a minor, domestic assault, and assault.
Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin called on "sanctuary politicians" to notify federal authorities before releasing people she characterized as public safety threats.
The release lists named individuals arrested or convicted (with countries of origin: Ecuador, Honduras, Mexico, El Salvador) and summarizes their alleged or convicted offenses.
DHS provided a link (wow.dhs.gov/Minnesota) for a public list of arrests in Minnesota.
