U.S. and Mexico to hold Security Ministerial in Washington in February

U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Mexican Foreign Secretary Juan Ramón de la Fuente spoke by phone following a presidential call and reaffirmed bilateral security cooperation. They said the Security Implementation Group, which meets January 23, should deliver tangible actions to counter cartels and halt illicit fentanyl and weapons flows. Both officials also agreed to hold a Security Ministerial in Washington, D.C. in February to assess progress, identify gaps, and set expectations for further collaboration.
