   The State Department published a Feb 4, 2026 media note saying Under Secretary Thomas G. DiNanno would travel to Tel Aviv and on Feb 8 would lead a combined Department of State–Department of War team for the Joint Political Military Group Dialogue and visit several military sites. As of Feb 8 (same day as the scheduled events) I find the Departments travel notice (Feb 4) and DiNannos Feb 6 statement in Geneva, but I cannot locate an official State Department readout, Israeli government statement, or contemporaneous reputable news report confirming that the Feb 8 Tel Aviv meetings and site visits actually took place and were led by DiNanno. Given the planned date is today, the claim remains in progress pending post-event readouts or reporting; a follow-up check is warranted once agencies publish a readout or Israeli counterparts report the meeting outcomes.
