The Forum focused on six topics.

The EU-U.S. Joint Financial Regulatory Forum met on December 9–10, 2025 in Washington, D.C., co-chaired by the U.S. Department of the Treasury and the European Commission. Delegations from major U.S. and EU financial regulators discussed six priority areas — including digital finance, banking modernization, capital markets, FATCA, G20 financial priorities, and the European Savings and Investments Union — and committed to continued dialogue on cross-border and extraterritorial implications. The parties said regular communication supports growth, stability, investor protection and a level playing field, and they expect the next meeting in mid-2026.
